Founded in 1954, the Radio Amateur Invalid and Blind Club is a National Society dedicated to providing help or assistance to invalid, blind or vision impaired radio amateurs and short wave listeners.
Our activities fall into three main areas: providing membership services of various kinds including the loan of suitable equipment to qualified members: the holding of regular HF and VHF radio nets.
We also produce and distribute our club magazine 'RADIAL' containing news, views, and articles of general interest concerning the activities of the club and its members.
RAIBC Membership ServicesThe Committee can offer advice to members on many aspects of amateur radio concerning the blind or disabled operator, plus detailed information about membership services.
We also operate a dedicated RAIBC HELPLINE, that members can ring at any time.
The number to call is: 08000 141743.
An RAIBC QSL Card (size 140 mm x 98 mm) has been
designed, priced at £9.00 per 100, post free, order details from the
Membership Secretary.
